About
About Highland Tech Tutor
A local expert in Dingwall, serving the Highlands - turning tech woes into solutions.
Background
- Qualified as a web designer in 2006, and spent the next five years with a local audio-visual retailer.
- Ran their nationwide online shop and distribution network - the shopping cart, the orders behind it, and all the graphics that went with it.
- Installed the kit as well as sold it - televisions, DVD recorders, Sky and Freesat boxes, whole systems. Then I sat with the customer and showed them how to use it.
- Ran my own business alongside that job until 2012 - designing bespoke websites and hosting them for clients.
- Specialised in search and in standards-compliant websites, back when every page was written by hand and a CMS was not yet the norm.
Why I do this
I left the trade to look after my mother full time. By the time she died, the web had moved on without me - the way sites were built had changed under my feet.
I caught it back up, and it has been the interesting part ever since.
Close to a year now of AI, every day - learning it, building with it, and putting it to work for real businesses. One firm in the Highlands runs its compliance dates, fleet maintenance and daily admin through agents I built. I am not reading about this, I am running it. More on the AI Agent Crews page.
So I know the feeling I get called in to fix, because I have had it myself. That is why I go at your pace and leave nothing unexplained.
How it works
- Tell me what you need - a quick message is enough to start.
- We sort it together - hands-on help, with clear guidance throughout.
- You're set up to manage it yourself - the goal is you comfortable, not you dependent.
